Privacy policy

Perchwarm ("we", "us", "our") operates this online store. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our store or buy from us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Perchwarm is operated by a sole trader based in Prague, Czech Republic (Průhonická 5, 106 00 Praha, Czech Republic). For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the controller of your personal information. You can reach us through our Contact page.

Information we collect

  • Contact and order details: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number, and the products you buy.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Shopify and its payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages: anything you send us through our Contact page or by email.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our store, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

  • To process, ship, and support your order, including refunds and replacements.
  • To reply to your questions.
  • To prevent fraud and keep our store secure.
  • To measure and improve our advertising, including on Facebook and Instagram.
  • To send you marketing emails, only if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To meet our legal and tax obligations.

Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases: performing our contract with you (orders), our legitimate interests (security, store improvement), your consent (marketing emails and advertising cookies where required), and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
  • Our fulfillment partner and shipping carriers, who need your name, address, and phone number to deliver your order.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, to measure how our ads perform and show relevant ads. See Meta's Privacy Policy.
  • Authorities, when required by law.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Using advertising cookies and the Meta Pixel may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some US state laws. See "Your rights" below for how to opt out.

Cookies

We use cookies to run the store (for example, to keep items in your cart), to understand how the store is used, and for advertising. You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie banner where shown, through your browser settings, or by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, which we honor as an opt-out of targeted advertising.

International transfers

Your information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, the European Union, and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill your order and meet tax and accounting obligations (generally up to 10 years under Czech law). We keep other information only as long as it's useful for the purposes above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct or delete it;
  • receive a copy in a portable format;
  • opt out of targeted advertising, "sharing," or "sale" of your personal information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time;
  • appeal our decision on your request, or complain to a data protection authority (in the EU, our lead authority is the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection, uoou.gov.cz).

To make a request, contact us through our Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it. We won't discriminate against you for using your rights. You can also use Shopify's privacy portal at privacy.shopify.com.

Children

Our store is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
